Our methodology is based on a comprehensive 5 stage process that has been developed to guarantee the delivery of successful projects. There are 5 stages to this methodology. Click on each of the stage names in order to view details about that part of the process.
Stage 1: DefineThe first stage of any project involves defining the challenge and devising the optimal solution. Hyperlink's definition stage revolves around four key questions to determine the Why, Where, What and How. Why: The reason for any solution development must be clearly defined with objectives and success measurement criteria. Once these parameters have been set, the details of the solution can be formulated.
Where: Consultations determine where you want to target your website and how you want it to be perceived. What: A User Requirement document analyses the needs of the business and end users to determine what the solution needs to do. How: A Functional Specification takes the definition of "What" the solution needs to do and explains in detail how the functions will work. The User Experience (xPoint process) takes the functional specification beyond the two dimensional view to help define the experience the user and business should achieve from the solution. ^ Back to top
Stage 2: Design
The Design stage takes in all the analysis and definitions from the Define phase and allows Hyperlinks Designers to begin prepare design and apply use case scenarios. You are presented with a range of concepts, which are then refined with your assistance of the cllient.
An optional stage often undertaken within the design phase is Prototype development, which involves development of a working prototype around a use case scenario in order to "prove the concept". This is taken out to focus group testing by you, or alternatively to third parties. This formal process and feedback allows Hyperlink to define the "why". ^ Back to top
Stage 3: Develop
The development phase is the beginning of the official build, it is during this phase that all system architecture is defined and code base built. Hyperlink's project management team will provide you with regular feedback as to the status of the project and delivery of key milestones. All milestone items are up-loaded to the staging environment for you to approve online. ^ Back to top
Stage 4: DeployOnce all milestones have been reached, the complete system is tested as a unit and deployed to the staging environment. It is during this phase that all formal testing is completed and the developed solution cleared after signoff to be deployed in the live environment. If required, user manuals and staff training are delivered at this point. ^ Back to top
Stage 5: Maintain
For those customers that wish us to maintain their website, Hyperlink provides a website maintenance agreement. This can be tailored to your exact requirements and include full outsourcing as well as general maintenance plans.
